Environmental Containment Systems
Kinetic IT design and install both hot and cold aisle containment systems to bespoke specifications. Our design teams will work closely with both you and / or data centre providers to maximise efficiency, without compromising on the overall aesthetics of the installation and environment.
Temperature Control
It is vital to separate hot air from cold air within a data centre to maintain the required operating temperatures. This is achieved by efficiently optimising air flow to reduce energy costs and improve performance, and by deploying either hot air or cold air physical containment. This is usually pre-defined by the technical design and physical layout of the data centre.
Our Data Centre Design Teams also provide a range of environmental services including:
- Conducting heat mapping surveys using heat source cameras, to identify hot spots
- Conducting airflow anemometer readings, to record cold air efficiency
- Identifying where blanking panels are required to increase airflow volumes
- Provision of heat source devices to simulate actual hardware outputs within a data centre
- Conducting space planning producing CAD drawings and design documentation
Security Caging Solutions
The security of expensive IT equipment and stored data is a major area of concern for data centre managers. Where additional security layers are required over and above the standard locking mechanism of the equipment rack, perimeter security caging is available to ensure restriction of access to unauthorised individuals and peace of mind can be achieved at all times.
Access Control:
Kinetic IT offer a range of caging solutions designed to bespoke specifications and to meet the most stringent security requirement. Access control can be incorporated with swipe card, pin or biometric readers as well as an overall design to incorporate the aesthetic environment or corporate image tailored to your own specific requirements.
